Dallas coaches, players at charity event (AP)

The Dallas Cowboys and their coaches were back together for one night. The team held their seventh annual Taste of the NFL: The Ultimate Cowboys Tailgate Party on Sunday night, and several coaches and players attended the event. Contact between NFL coaches and players is prohibited because of the lockout, but the league made an exception for long-standing charity events.

NFL plan: Divert $300M from 1st-rounders (AP)

The NFL wants to cut almost 60 percent of guaranteed pay for first-round draft picks, lock them in for five years and divert the savings to veterans' salaries and benefits. More than $525 million went to first-rounders in guaranteed payments in 2010. The league wants to decrease that figure by $300 million, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt was arrested in his hometown of Bayonne, N.J., on Tuesday after an officer reported seeing him speeding. LT's sex offender level to be determined (AP)

There's one piece left to be determined in the sex-crimes sentence imposed on former pro football star Lawrence Taylor. A hearing is scheduled for Tuesday morning to determine whether Taylor is a Level 1, 2 or 3 sex offender. Taylor's not expected to attend. He was arrested in May after meeting a 16-year-old girl in a suburban hotel.


Old concussions affecting ex-QB Bradshaw (AP)

Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw says he's feeling the effects of numerous concussions sustained during his NFL career. The 62-year-old Shreveport native said Monday he has been having short-term memory loss as well as the loss of hand-eye coordination. He also said he is undergoing rehabilitation for those ailments.
