Bucs RB Graham hurts ankle, out for game (AP)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have lost Earnest Graham for the rest of their game against the Chicago Bears after the running back injured his right ankle during the first quarter. Graham went down untouched Sunday after catching a pass from Josh Freeman, falling to the turf before being hit for a 2-yard loss.

Seahawks RB Lynch out with injured back (AP)

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch injured his back in pregame warmups and will not play Sunday against the Browns. Lynch, who has rushed for 239 yards and two touchdowns this season, was on the sideline during Seattle's first offensive series. A team spokesman said Lynch hurt his back before the game but provided no other specifics.

Falcons WR Jones inactive vs. Lions (AP)

Atlanta Falcons rookie wide receiver Julio Jones and left tackle Sam Baker are inactive for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. Jones is out with a strained left hamstring and Baker is out with a lower back injury. Harry Douglas is listed as the starter for Jones and Will Svitek replaces Baker.

Texans WR Johnson inactive vs. Titans (AP)

Houston Texans fullback James Casey and receiver Andre Johnson are inactive against Tennessee, which is sitting defensive end William Hayes. The Texans had Casey listed as doubtful while he recovers from a strained pectoral muscle, but he will miss a second straight game Sunday. Lawrence Vickers is starting in his place.

Chargers TE Gates to return vs. Jets (AP)

San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates is active and will play against the New York Jets on Sunday after missing three games with a flare-up of plantar fasciitis in his right foot. Gates tore scar tissue near the injury Sept. 18 against New England, and will be available for Philip Rivers to throw to for the first time in over a month.

Raiders sign K Rayner as insurance (AP)

The Oakland Raiders have signed kicker Dave Rayner in case Sebastian Janikowski's hamstring injury keeps him from playing Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Raiders waived defensive back Ron Parker on Saturday to make room on the roster. Janikowski missed practice Thursday and Friday and is officially listed as questionable and coach Hue Jackson was concerned enough to sign Rayner.

Vikes CB Cook arrested, out vs. Packers (AP)

Police have arrested Minnesota Vikings cornerback Chris Cook on domestic battery charges that could cause him to miss this weekend's game against the Green Bay Packers. Eden Prairie police spokeswoman Katie Beal says the 24-year-old Cook was arrested without incident after someone called 911 around 2 a.m.

The NFL is considering a plan to have a few teams play regularly in Britain to build an overseas following -- part of the league's evaluation about whether a franchise could be permanently based in London. Minnesota Vikings safety Tyrell Johnson apologized Wednesday, one day after he was arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired on a Minneapolis-area interstate. Johnson was arrested early Tuesday and authorities said his blood-alcohol level was 0.12 percent, above the state's legal limit of 0.08 percent.

Redskins CB Hall to target Romo's ribs (AP)

Tony Romo has a fractured rib. DeAngelo Hall sees it as a bull's-eye. The Washington Redskins cornerback said Wednesday he's hoping the Dallas Cowboys quarterback plays when the NFC East rivals meet Monday night -- if only for the chance to inflict more damage. "Absolutely. I want to get a chance to put my helmet on whatever's hurt," Hall said.

Manning visits Colts practice again (AP)

Peyton Manning was back at Colts practice Wednesday, the second time this week he was seen taking laps around the practice field. The only four-time MVP in league history is expected to miss at least two months and possibly the entire season after having neck surgery to repair a herniated disk Sept. 8.

The NFL sent a memo Wednesday to all 32 teams warning of fines, suspensions and loss of draft picks if the league determines players faked injuries during a game. In the memo obtained by The Associated Press, the NFL reminded teams of league policy that calls on coaches to discourage the practice, and that there was no specific rule on the topic.


'Skins S Landry expects to return Monday (AP)

LaRon Landry is ready to be a beast again. The Washington Redskins safety said Wednesday he anticipates returning from his hamstring injury for Monday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys. New York Giants receiver Domenik Hixon will miss the rest of the season after he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee for the second straight year. The Jags' declaration to take things slow with Blaine Gabbert (above) ended after awful starts by Luke McCown.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are turning to rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert. Coach Jack Del Rio named Gabbert the starter Wednesday, switching signal callers three days after Luke McCown threw four interceptions against the New York Jets. Del Rio met with Gabbert and McCown on Wednesday morning, then told other players about the switch at a team meeting.


Ravens sign DT Ngata to $61M, 5-yr. deal (AP)

The Baltimore Ravens signed defensive tackle Haloti Ngata to a five-year, $61 million contract on Tuesday. His agent, Mike McCartney, said Ngata will get $40 million in the first two years of the deal. The All-Pro defensive tackle has 10 tackles, six solos, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.

Bills WR Parrish out for season (AP)

Roscoe Parrish's season is over after the Buffalo Bills placed the receiver on injured reserve Tuesday, two days after he hurt his left ankle. The move further depletes the Bills depth at receiver, coming a week after Marcus Easley was placed on I.R. due to an illness. Vikings QB Bomar arrested for DWI (AP)

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Rhett Bomar has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. Blue Earth County Jail spokeswoman Amber Carlson says Bomar was booked about 5:15 a.m. Sunday on third-degree driving while intoxicated. Carlson says Bomar has been released. The Vikings picked up the 26-year-old quarterback in late December from the New York Giants practice squad.

Henne impresses in Dolphins scrimmage (AP)

Chad Henne threw for three touchdowns and one interception in the Dolphins' intrasquad scrimmage Sunday, making good reads and confident throws in a performance that had coach Tony Sparano praising Miami's embattled quarterback. "I thought he threw the ball well, particularly first two series that he was in there," Sparano said.
