Holyrood's Standards Commissioner has dismissed complaints against the first minister and his deputy for auctioning lunches to raise funds for the SNP.
Stuart Allan ruled that the auction organised by Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon did not breach the code of conduct for MSPs.
He said there was no evidence that the bidders were seeking to lobby the pair.
Mr Salmond said he was delighted but that the lunch would not go ahead until further guidance was issued.
